...soloing with the Melodic minor scale.

I´m soloing with the melodic minor scale in the key of A minor and the melodic minor scales tones are:

- 1(A), 2, b3, 4, 5, 6, 7 -

...and the tones all over the guitar neck looks like this:

You can also use the B minor pentatonic scale when these tones are included in the A melodic minor scale.

- B minor Pentatonic scale - 1(B), b3, 4, 5, b7 -

You can also use the 7th chord tones to the E7 chord when these tones also are included in the A melodic minor scale.

...and don´t forget the phrasing. A good exercise is to start the new phrase with the tone that ended the former phrase. When practice this you will tighten up and get a new flow to the soloing.

- 9th(B), 11th, 5th, 6th & the root -

- E7 chord tones - 1(E), 3, 5, b7 -
